A hat-trick of posts tonight. Here’s Tomer, Aidan, and I kicking back playing ESPN NHL Hockey 2K4 on the XBox after a hard day in the hot summer sun. Aidan sure loves playing on the XBox!

Flugtag: n. German for “Flying Day”.
On Saturday afternoon, Carla & Tomer and the three of us joined some 50,000 people down by Science World for a Red Bull sponsored Flugtag event.
The event consisted of many teams of people, from right across the country, driving various shapes and sizes of human-powered vehicles off the end of a pier into False Creek (ewwwww). The “goal” was to fly the longest distance. From the several entries that we saw, “flying” was a generous term. Here’s a one picture from the day … I’ve uploaded a bunch of other pictures to Flickr as a way to evaluate Flickr.

Ugh, Aidan has a cold again. By extension, *I* have a cold too. I never get colds, but for each one that he has had, I have become sick too. Ugh.
Satuday was Grandma Kathy’s birthday, and she had breakfast with Aidan. Well, sort-of. She got the commentary over the phone anyway.

- Since when does Canada Post deliver on Sundays? (Wait for Mama’s post)
- Are two naps possible? Is it a good sign or a bad sign?
- Oralgel is not a bad thing, and in fact, when remembered can be a very good thing.
- 3 hour naps in the middle of the day put a crimp in weekend activities.
- When the toddler is hungry, do something about it. Now.
- Schedules are good things. Don’t disrupt the schedule. Really. Don’t even think about it.
- The “light duty” shredders are, in fact, only meant for light-duty.
- Electrical motors are somewhat like computers with respect to the “magic smoke”.
- Bubbles are excellent. Gazillion bubbles are way excellent.
- The bunny may not be so evil after all.
