- Halifax, St Johns, Montreal, Ottawa all do public concerts, festivals 100x better than Vancouver. #
- Vancouver does clique well as well as expensive. Fireworks and Chinese NY are the only large community bldg events that seem to “work” #
- Agreed @brendonjwilson . Very fragmented. Downtown has its own culture. Kits has its own. Chinatown has its own. Kerrisdale has its own. #
- Especially for families there’s very little “city-building” cheap and fun festivals or concerts. The Children’s Fest? Folk fest? Too $$$ #
- Heck, Surrey does community events better than Vancouver. Children’s Fest, Fusion Fest, Winter Fest, etc. Cheap, fun for family, accessible. #
