Q and I taken out by some sort of GI bug. No work, hospitals for us today. :( #
They're letting #sickboy try oral antibiotics this afternoon. This is a huge step in the right direction. Yay! #
How nice of Q to go down and stay down for a nap while I pulled myself to the table for an important telecon. #
And just like that, they're sending #sickboy home. Amazing what a difference a few days makes. Huzzah! #
Frankly, I'm surprised that they've released him, but he's recovered lots of motion & lost a lot of pain. He'll be on oral abx for a while. #
Happy. Might even try some solid food for the first time in a day and a half. #
#sickboy is now home & parked in front of Sim City on laptop. Apparently he was suffering withdrawal. I think he's earned some screen time. #

Despite the concern for his brother, the 3 yr old went to sleep tonight without any fight. Small victories, I'll take them. #
Turns out Aidan now has multiple infections: the one in his hand, and a blood infection too. He's going to be in BCCH for at least 10 days. #
He's sleeping a fair bit but apparently in much less pain. The trick over the next little while will be preventing further infections. #
This, sadly, means canceling his birthday party and some other activities. #
Thanks, again, to everyone for your ongoing support. It helps. #
We're not sure of the initial source of the infection. He didn't have any apparent bites, scratches, or any other wounds. #
